MacGregor Springs Flowers and Birds Hike Grant Co, WI
May 3 (Saturday), Time: 10:00 am.  (Note the date change)

Trip Leader: George Howe (608-486-2154)
Join us for a hike through the beautiful and diverse MacGregor property in the Snow Bottom State Natural Area of Grant County, WI. We’ll be searching for spring flowers like the delicate “Dutchmen’s Britches,” and keeping an eye open for bright flashes of orange from “Baltimore Orioles.” Whether you like wildflowers or birds, forests or prairies, this hike will have something for everyone. Easy, flat trails are available for people wishing to stroll leisurely, while others may choose more challenging routes that wind up and down the bluffs. Bring a picnic lunch and something to share if possible so after our hike we can linger over a meal. People may stay and explore more places independently after lunch.

Directions: Meet at the Helen and David MacGregor residence (608-739-3757) near Muscoda, WI.  From Montfort on Hwy 18 go W about 2.5 mi to County Hwy G. Turn N (right) on County Hwy G and go about 10 mi. From Muscoda, at the south end of main street (Hwy 80 and 133) (Wisconsin St) take County Hwy G West (which turns S) and go for about 8 miles.
