2008 SOUTHWEST CHAPTER MEETINGS

August 17 (Sunday)-  4:00 at Jim and Rose Sime’s "spaceship" near Montfort to discuss fund raising ideas to procure 20% of the sale price for the Oster property for management endowment. We are sharing the responsibility for this with Driftless Area Land Conservancy and Mississippi Valley Conservancy but we still need to come up with quite a sum. So come with ideas for major fund raising.

Also on the agenda will be a format for the upcoming SW Chapter budget and again we need your input.

You might like to come early to see the effects of grazing by the DLS goats. We've had them in one paddock for 2 weeks in July and moved them on Aug. 4th to a new site. We don't know if the goats will still be at Snowbottom but you surely can see their fine work! 71 goats certainly can eat a tremendous amount of brush and weeds in a short amount of time!!
