ABOUT THE SITE: The UWM at Waukesha Field Station is home to a beautifully restored prairie/oak savannah, a variety of forestland, an ephemeral pond, Henrietta Lake and Scuppernong Creek. Visitors will enjoy walking the 3.5 miles of mowed hiking trails, as well as boardwalks over wetland areas. The unique wood-fired kiln and the Wildlife in Need Center make it a truly amazing educational destination. This will be the first time the annual meeting will be hosted at this site. The field station was recently highlighted on Outdoor Wisconsin. View the segment here.
DIRECTIONS: The field station is located in the Kettle Moraine area of southeastern Wisconsin, 10 miles west of the UWM-Waukesha campus near the Village of Waterville. It is easily accessible from the Waukesha campus via Highway 18, nine miles west to the junction of Waterville Road, then south 0.4 miles to a gravel driveway on the left.
The address is W349 S1480 S. Waterville Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
