Join us on the beautiful Mississippi River Bluffs for a challenging hike and scenic views of a large bluff prairie and the Mississippi River Valley, near Winona, MN. An option for an easier hike will be available also. TPE Minnesota Driftless Chapter members George Howe and Gabe Ericksen will guide you up a rare, diverse, and large bluff prairie remnant, being restored and managed by TPE volunteers. Enjoy the awesome reward at the top- breath-taking views of the Mississippi River Valley, adjacent bluffs, and Winona, MN. Dress for the weather and terrain/foliage as always, bring repellant for ticks and insects, and a water bottle.

Directions: Travel to Winona, MN on US Hwy 14/61 and turn West on Hwy 43 at the stoplights on the south-eastern end of Winona and travel ¼ mile. Turn left onto County Road 17, and go ¼ mile. Turn left again on Hwy 15, also k
nown as Homer Road, and go about 1 mile. Turn right on Pleasant Ridge Road, go 1/4 mile, look for vehicles, and park on inside shoulder of road.
