Come help collect seed to be used to plant prairies near this State Natural Area. We do have a flat option - it just takes people getting carted up via UTV. We can make this work if needed. Otherwise it will be steep terrain. Both options will be collecting remnant grasses. The focus will be collecting Indian grass, little blue stem, and big bluestem.
There will be two sessions: morning session of 9a - 12p (noon) and an afternoon session of noon - 3p. Stay for the whole day if you want! We will have Volunteer Seed collecting signs posted where we are working, but the start/meet location will be what we call the old homestead at 25581 Hughes Rd. Steuben, WI 54657 (Coordinates: 43.206110, -90.866101). Bring a lunch, sturdy work boots, and dress for the weather. If you have a five gallon bucket you can bring, please do so.
