Natural Area Land Manager Assistant – Full Time Limited Term

We are hiring 2 or 3 people to assist in the management of natural areas. It is anticipated that you will work full time (40 hours per week), for a limited term, from April 1st through August 1st in 2022. This position will be with the Empire-Sauk Chapter working at preserves in Dane and Iowa Counties. Natural Area Land Management GIS Specialist – Full Time Limited Term

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), for a limited term, from April 4th through September 30th in 2022. Work activities include, but not limited to, bringing digital data into a GIS, collecting location data with GPS units, analyzing GIS data, and using herbicide in control of invasive plants. Paid Internships - Restoration Ecology (Summer 2022)

Looking for field experience in natural area restoration and management?  Four paid internships in restoration ecology are available through the Empire-Sauk Chapter.  These are full-time positions for 12 weeks from Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, August 19, 2022.  Applicants should be in college, at the sophomore level or higher, and have a demonstrated interest in restoration ecology or the conservation/management of rare species and ecosystems. The work will take place at four high-quality nature preserves in western Dane County and eastern Iowa County near the villages of Mount Horeb, Mazomanie, Blue Mounds, and Barneveld. To learn more about the positions and how to apply, see this job announcement


 

Scholarship - Conservation or environmental fields (2022)

The Southwest Chapter of TPE is offering a $1000 scholarship for students who are a resident or former resident within their chapter counties (Crawford, Richland, Iowa and Grant Counties), or currently enrolled in a college or other institution of higher learning in the aforementioned WI Counties. To learn more about the scholarship and how to apply, see this scholarship announcement
